Don't Get Car Sick This Summer!
With the Summer season upon us, that means a lot of people
will be traveling to visit friends and family by car, van, buses,
trains and planes. It also means a lot of motion sickness.
You know, that combination of dizziness, nausea and/or vomiting
that can last for minutes or hours.
There are some products out there that actually work,
the over-the-counter medicine dramamine, a pressure point
bracelet, massage, and deep breathing.
Well, if you aren't into medicines, braceletes or massaging
pressure points. Why not try the fruit that's symbolic with
the state of Georgia?
The fruit: Peaches. Yes peaches, popular this time of year,
to make sweet drinks, cobblers, pies or for grilling, can end the
queasiness, dizziness and vomiting in a matter of minutes.
But, there's a catch- the catch: They have to be peaches from the
can, more specifically-the juice in the can is the real medical miracle.
The syrup that the canned peaches are in contain potassium and sorbitol,
which together ease the stomach contractions and nervous-system distress
signals triggered by motion.
So, if you're a fan of peaches and plan on doing some long distance
traveling this Summer, make sure there's a can or two of canned peaches
in the car, and at the first sign of stomach distress, have a tbp. or two
of peach juice.
And for those of you out there, that don't get motion sickness,
eat plenty of regular peaches, they'll help repair skin cell damage,
which will give you a more youthful appearance and fire up
your metabolism, which is very important this time of year (to
show off your bikini or speedo body). One more tip, why not travel
to Georgia and buy your fresh peaches, you'll be helping the
American economy and your fellow Americans.
Good Luck!
