Eat More Chocolate!
On yesterday's Dr. Oz show, he did a segment on chocolate.
More specifically, how it can bolster your health and help
you live a little longer.
And if you think that's not true, look at the Kuna Indians.
Not sure who they are?
They're a tribe of Indians that live off the coast of Panama
and if it's to believed, the people don't know what heart disease is.
How is this possible?
The tribe drinks between 2 to 5 cups of top quality cocoa each day.
And if you want the benefits, but don't want to drink 2 or cups of
cocoa a day, then make a dessert.
Yes, and the dessert is an Ice Cream like dessert.
Raw Chocolate Walnut Ice Cream!
2 cups of water
2 cups of walnuts
2 Tbs. of cacao powder or dark cocoa
1 cup of pure maple syrup or dark honey
1 Tbs. of vanilla extract
1 tsp. of celtic sea salt
Pour each ingredient into a large bowl and stir.
Stir by hand or use a hand mixer or Immersion blender. (Use the low setting)
Blend until the ingredients reach a smooth consistency.
Transfer to a plastic container with a top.
Place the top on and leave in the freezer for a few hours or overnight.
This should keep for about a week.
And some other things you may want to consider...
If you or a love one isn't a fan of nuts, leave them out,
and if you want to experiment with fruit, banana pieces, or frozen
blueberries, then go for it.
And if you're on a diet, you can cut down on the amount of honey or
maple syrup you use.
That's it, and here's to eating chocolate and getting healthier in the process.

One last tip:
If you're one to top out the onion skins, the orange and lime peels or
beet and carrot tops, you amy want to stop doing that.
You're missing out the healthiest and most nutritious part of the food.
