Vitamin B12 For More Energy!
Dr. Oz will be starting his 3rd season come Sept. 10th, and
if you're still watching and learning from last season then you
saw the episode that featured his wife, Lisa.
Lisa Oz revealed that she's a vegetarian and she needs to take
shots (from her hubby) to get her fill of this vitamin.
Like a lot of women, Mrs. Oz figured- become a vegetarian
and all of your health problems will be solved, but it's not true.
Foods like salmon, beef and eggs are great sources of B12,
but if you're avoiding these foods, constant tiredness, brain fog
and frequent colds become the norm.
Speaking of frequent colds, actress Drew Barrymore became a vegetarian
in the hopes of getting healthy, and it had the opposite effect- she
kept getting colds and the colds stuck around.
So, are you vitamin B12 deficient? Do you have frequent colds
and/or long lasting colds? What about unending fatigue and brain fog?
If you want to be like Lisa Oz and not like Drew Barrymore, here are
some helpful hints you should do-concerning vitamin B12.
1) Over 40-
If you're over 40, you're more likely to be B12 deficient.
And the reason...Your stomach produces less stomach acid, and the
less stomach acid means vitamin B12 isn't being absorbed.
And if you're not eating red meat- (a good source) means a shortfall.
2) Get The Right Tests-
Your doctor may try to explain the brain fog, tiredness and colds
as "getting older" "you're a busy mom" or you're a new mom"
but don't let him (or her) do this to you, ask for a Serum B12 test or
a Urinary MMA test, both of these test will measure you're B12 levels.
Another tip: ask for the "exact number." If it's under 450 pmol/L
you need more B12.
3) Supplement or Food-
If you're totally against meat, fish and eggs, look for B12 in a sublingual
pill or lozenge. Start with 1,000 mcg a day, and if you don't see a difference, increase it, gradually. Or try the "melt-in-your-mouth
brand...Natrol Fast Dissolve Vitamin B12 in mixed berry. 30 tablets
for $7. Find them at iHerb.com.
4) Do Like Lisa-
If you're still not convinced, and want the shot (in your backside) like
Lisa Oz, ask your Dr. about injections-every 10 to 14 days.
That's It- Some helpful tips to become one of the former women
who were constantly tired, suffering from brain fog and always sick.
One more tip: Cold and Flu season will soon be here, if you
want natural and safe solutions on how to avoid and beat colds
and flu, go to Amazon.com/the Kindle store and look for
The Flu Fighters, Natural Ways to Stay Cold and Flu-Free.
It was written by me and a few others interested in natural alternatives.
Good Luck!
